DG press wins Sustainability Heroes Award 2024 for Circular Economy Innovation
DG press, in collaboration with Siegwerk, is proud to announce that the Non-PE Paper Pouch project has won the Circular Economy category at the Sustainability Heroes Awards 2024. This prestigious recognition highlights the innovative partnership between the two companies in developing sustainable packaging solutions that contribute to a more circular economy.
The Non-PE Paper Pouch, produced on DG press’ Hybrid Web Offset press, is a fully recyclable, packaging solution. It offers the same performance as traditional multi-material structures, but with the added benefit of full recyclability, making it a breakthrough in sustainable packaging. What’s revolutionary is that all processes, from coating, and printing, to lacquering, are completed in one single pass on DG press’s Hybrid Web Offset press, streamlining production and minimising waste.
We are incredibly honoured to receive this prestigious award alongside Siegwerk. This project underscores the importance of collaboration and innovation in driving the packaging industry toward more sustainable solutions. The Non-PE Paper Pouch is just one example of our commitment to a greener future.
In addition to this award, DG press and Siegwerk’s Mono-PE Coffee Pouch was named a Top 10 finalist in the Gouden Noot 2024 — the NVC Packaging Awards, one of the most renowned competitions in the packaging industry. Being recognised as a finalist is a testament to the innovation and impact of the coffee pouch project, further highlighting DG press’ and Siegwerk’s leadership in the field of sustainable packaging.
